We believe in providing a safe and fun environment where children may develop positive social skills such as responsibility, respect and cooperation through communication. The environment should stimulate growth and provide opportunities for children to make choices that satisfy their individual needs. We believe working as a team, with parents and teachers, is essential in order to provide consistent care and guidance to each child. We welcome parental involvement, suggestions and support. Our program implements Flight-Alberta`s Early Learning and Care Framework Curriculum Framework and our philosophy is connected to the Principles and Matters to Be Considered stated in the Early Learning and Child Care Act.
Hazeldean daycare program is designed to meet the individual child`s developmental needs: mental, emotional, spiritual and physical. While all children have the same basic needs, each child is unique and develops at his/hers own peace. To meet these needs, our staff will provide opportunities for all levels of development and type of play. Adequate and well-arranged space, where supervision is easily managed will promote positive relationships among children and enable them to work and play together with minimal conflict. Staff in our Centre will help children to achieve the goal of being in self control by acting with firmness, love, and tolerance, that comes with confidence and responsibility.
